Each year the Home Baking Association awards outstanding educators in classrooms and communities who engage individuals, families and communities with the many educational benefits baking provides for personal, family or professional development.

What to Enter?

Submit a baking lesson or baking community service program or adult or teen leader skill training. Baking community service program may include “Bake for Family Fun” month, Bake and Take Day, bake sales or community service baking programs. 

Who’s Eligible?

Professionals or adult and youth leaders and volunteers who teach baking skills in:

Classrooms (Pre-K, Elementary or Secondary)

Libraries, Public or Private Organizations

Community Youth Programs, Out-of-school camps and clubs

Families

Youth Teaching Peers or Younger Ages

Mentors

Awards:

Top entry: $1,000 cash and an all-expense paid trip for two to the Home Baking Association Annual Meeting to present a summary of your award-winning project.

Special recognition awards: may be awarded for Best Community Reach, Best Hands-on Baking Activity, Most Creative.

All entries receive complimentary HBA teaching resources.

Guidelines and Application:

Read the call for entries to get more specific information about the application process. Entry deadline is March 31, 2020.  Entry form and lesson plan must be included together whether sent by email or mail.
