Brown Sugar Whole Wheat Cookies

Ingredients
- 1 c. butter
- 1 1⁄2 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. lemon juice or flavor
- 1 tsp. orange juice or flavor
- 3 c.Whole Wheat Flour (we recommend Ceresota/Heckers )
- 1⁄2 tsp. soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 3⁄4 c. nuts, finely chopped
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350*F.
- Cream butter and brown sugar thoroughly. Add eggs and mix well.
- Add juices.
- Combine whole wheat flour, soda and salt.
- Add to creamed mixture and mix well.
- Stir in nuts.
- Drop by teaspoonful’s onto lightly greased cookie sheets, about 2" apart.
- Bake in 350*F oven for 12-15 minutes or until lightly browned. If small cookies are desired, bake from 10-12 minutes.
- Transfer to cooling rack.
